FAQ: Why Aren't My Steps Counting?

We've had a couple reports of phones not counting steps, and in every case so far the culprit has been that their phone did not have Google Fit, Google's API/APP for porting data out of their phone's accelerometer/pedometer, installed. We're learning today that Huawei is notorious for not having Google Fit installed from the manufacturer!
Here's what you do. Download and install Google Fit on your device:
Make sure to authorize KinFit in Google Fit: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6098255?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en
